Krause Travels

Thanks to Robin’s long time friend Kaye, Kelly and he got to fly on Miss Montana. For years this WWII era DC-3 flew smoke jumpers, firefighters who parachute into large wildfires, to some of the largest blazes in the West. The fascinating history of this plane and the story of its recent restoration is recorded in the book Every Reason to Fail, by Brian Douglass, who regularly flies her. Bonus—Monte, national champion mascot of Robin’s alma mater, the University of Montana, joined us for the trip. Go Griz!
